Gordon Dundas is Brand Development & Advocacy Director for Ian MacLeod Distillers Ltd, producers of Glengoyne, Tamdhu, Rosebank and Smokehead Single Malt whiskies.

Gordon has been a passionate advocate in the whisky industry for over twenty years. His journey began in 2003 with Whisky Magazine, where he immersed himself in the world of whisky, gaining invaluable insights and knowledge. His enthusiasm and dedication were instrumental in establishing the internationally acclaimed Whisky Live show network.

In 2011, Gordon’s love for whisky led him to become the Global Ambassador for Morrison Bowmore Distillers, where his passion for Bowmore and Auchentoshan was recognised becoming a Keeper of the Quaich.

As Beam Suntory, his work took him across European, Asian, and Travel Retail markets, where he left a lasting impression focusing on the full portfolio across Scotch, American and Japanese.

In 2017, Gordon joined Ian MacLeod Distillers Ltd (IMD), a family-owned company, as their International Brand Ambassador where he oversaw the international presence of Glengoyne, Tamdhu, and Smokehead. Notably, IMD’s acquisition of Rosebank in 2017 reflected their commitment to preserving whisky heritage, with Gordon being an integral part of the team involved in the rebirth of the iconic Rosebank brand and distillery.

Gordon’s role within IMD evolved, and he now leads a team of talented global ambassadors, providing vital support to brand teams and brand homes. His focus is on brand development and advocacy in key markets for the portfolio, driven by his unwavering passion for whisky.

In 2025, Gordon’s dedication and commitment were recognized when he was honoured to be appointed a Master of the Quaich.
